Rio was amazing, 223 out of 300 more craft shows coming up!!!

Hey there, it has been awhile since I have posted but that was because I was away on vacation in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.   I stayed in Ipanema it is a more posh area of Rio.  We were right on the ocean and the neighbourhood was safe and super clean.  We swam in the cold, cold Atlantic ocean, saw Cristos, went up the cable cars at Sugar Loaf, visited Buzios for a day, rode bikes along Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, went shopping and ate at many excellent restaurants.  Here are a few pics of the fabulous trip:

I have not had anytime to craft but have had a few orders so I am at 223 out of 300 items made with the supplies I have on hand.  I have several more to make and have many projects in my head that I want to create.

I have a Festive Fall Craft Show in September I need to prepare for.  All items need to be made from nature or are nature inspired.  I have several items that I can have in the show but I will make greeting cards, more hoop art and jewelry.  The venue is in stouffville in a park.  I hope the weather holds for the day as I do not have a tent to cover my display.  I will post more information closer to the date, it will be a fun day of vendors, face painting, entertainment and much more all inspired by nature.

I Got In!!, Rio is around the corner and my cat is less pissed off.....

I am so excited so many awesome things going on lately!!
One not so great is my cat is still pissed, I removed all the carpeting from the back room now and have it set up as it usually is we shall see if she continues to pee all over and leave the odd poop for me...Gosh I hope its over  lol.

I have made 203 of 300 items and have like 10 orders to still make, mainly tags, but a few custom orders, a journal, a necklace and a garland.  I love custom orders as it makes me use my creative juices and I also get excited to hear back from people when I show them the finished product before shipping it.  I have so many supplies I am sure I will make more than 300 in total Yeah   :)

So I didn't say anything as I was too afraid of being rejected then having everyone say aww better luck next time but I got in ! ! !

It is a large Fall craft sale, 150 vendors and all items are Hand Made.  It runs for 2 days at the International Centre in Mississauga.  Wow I am so proud and still a little stunned I got in.   If you want tickets let me know as I can sell them and it helps with my vendor cost.  I think I shall be crafting non-stop once I get back from Rio de Janeiro.

I leave in 5 that's right 5 days.  I am so excited I can hardly sleep, like a kid before Christmas.  I have my Visa, Brazilian Money, several sundresses, sandals and bikinis I am ready to go.  Woo Hoo.
It is their winter so it will be on average 29 degrees Celsius, no bugs and well probably less tourists especially now that the world cup is done.  I am also excited because a good friend of mine, since grade 6, lives there with her lovely family and we will be 5 blocks from their house.  Exploring a new city, country heck continent, in the warm weather, visiting with an old friend and on my first trip with my boyfriend  not too shabby.

Have you been to Rio?   What should I see for sure?  What food is a must eat?  Shopping where??  any tips would be greatly appreciated.
